Study Lenses

The verse centers on "lord", "magnified", "solomon", "exceedingly", "sight", "israel", "bestowed", and "upon". It is saying that the verse draws attention to "lord" and "magnified", so its meaning should be read from those terms before moving to application.

The nearby context moves from verse 24's "And all the princes and the mighty..." into verse 26's "Thus David the son of Jesse reigned...", so "lord" and "magnified" belong inside that flow. In 1 Chronicles context, the local focus is covenant, worship, and faithfulness.

A plain takeaway is to answer the verse's own emphasis on "lord" and "magnified" with trust shaped by these words, not by a vague optimism outside the passage.
