Verse 3

LSB “This is what applies to the Levites: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall enter to perform their duty in the service of the tent of meeting.

Verse 25

KJV And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:

ASV and from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the work, and shall serve no more,

WEB and from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting on the work, and shall serve no more,

YLT and from a son of fifty years he doth return from the host of the service, and doth not serve any more,

DRB And when they shall have accomplished the fiftieth year of their age, they shall cease to serve:

DBY And from fifty years old he shall retire from the labour of the service, and shall serve no more;

GNV And after the age of fiftie yeere, they shall cease from executing the office, and shall serue no more:

LSB But at the age of fifty years they shall retire from their duty in the service and not serve anymore.

Verse 26

KJV But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.

ASV but shall minister with their brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charges.

WEB but shall minister with their brothers in the Tent of Meeting, to perform the duty, and shall perform no service. You shall do thus to the Levites concerning their duties.”

YLT and he hath ministered with his brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and doth not do service; thus thou dost to the Levites concerning their charge.'

DRB And they shall be the ministers of their brethren in the tabernacle of the covenant, to keep the things that are committed to their care, but not to do the works. Thus shalt thou order the Levites touching their charge.

DBY but he shall minister with his brethren in the tent of meeting, and keep the charge, but he shall not serve [in] the service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites with regard to their charges.

GNV But they shall minister with their brethre in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, to keepe things committed to their charge, but they shall doe no seruice: thus shalt thou doe vnto the Leuites touching their charges.

LSB They may, however, minister to their brothers in the tent of meeting in order to keep up their responsibility, but they themselves shall perform no service. Thus you shall deal with the Levites concerning their responsibilities.”
