2 Peter 3:18 but grow in grace, and in [the] knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and to [the] day of eternity. Amen.

Study Lenses

The verse centers on "grace", "grow", "knowledge", "lord", "saviour", "jesus", "christ", and "glory". It is saying that the verse draws attention to "grace" and "grow", so its meaning should be read from those terms before moving to application.

The prior verse says "Ye therefore beloved knowing these things before...", giving immediate footing for "grace" and "grow". In 2 Peter context, the local focus is Christ, faith, and discipleship.

A plain takeaway is to answer the verse's own emphasis on "grace" and "grow" with trust shaped by these words, not by a vague optimism outside the passage.
