Study Lenses

The verse centers on "Spirit", "regard", "familiar", "spirits", "neither", "seek", "after", and "wizards". It is saying that the verse draws attention to "Spirit" and "regard", so its meaning should be read from those terms before moving to application.

The nearby context moves from verse 30's "Ye shall keep my sabbaths and reverence..." into verse 32's "Thou shalt rise up before the hoary...", so "Spirit" and "regard" belong inside that flow. In Leviticus context, the local focus is covenant, worship, and faithfulness.

A plain takeaway is to answer the verse's own emphasis on "Spirit" and "regard" with trust shaped by these words, not by a vague optimism outside the passage.
