Study Lenses

The verse centers on "known", "after", "death", "very", "corruptly", "turned", "aside", and "commanded". It is saying that the verse draws attention to "known" and "after", so its meaning should be read from those terms before moving to application.

The nearby context moves from verse 28's "Assemble unto me all the elders of..." into verse 30's "And Moses speaketh in the ears of...", so "known" and "after" belong inside that flow. In Deuteronomy context, the local focus is covenant, worship, and faithfulness.

A plain takeaway is to answer the verse's own emphasis on "known" and "after" with trust shaped by these words, not by a vague optimism outside the passage.
