Study Lenses

The verse centers on "grace", "faith", "having", "gifts", "different", "given", "whether", and "prophecy--". It is saying that salvation is received as God's gift through faith, so boasting is pushed out by the wording itself.

The nearby context moves from verse 5's "so we the many one body are..." into verse 7's "or ministration-- In the ministration or he...", so "grace" and "faith" belong inside that flow. In Romans context, the local focus is righteousness by faith, union with Christ, life in the Spirit, and God's covenant faithfulness.

A plain takeaway is to answer the verse's own emphasis on "grace" and "faith" with trust shaped by these words, not by a vague optimism outside the passage.
