Study Lenses

The verse centers on "light", "jehovah", "doth", "appear", "gone", "forth", "lightning", and "hath". It is saying that the verse draws attention to "light" and "jehovah", so its meaning should be read from those terms before moving to application.

The nearby context moves from verse 13's "For I have trodden for Me Judah..." into verse 15's "Jehovah of Hosts doth cover them over...", so "light" and "jehovah" belong inside that flow. In Zechariah context, the local focus is covenant, worship, and faithfulness.

A plain takeaway is to answer the verse's own emphasis on "light" and "jehovah" with trust shaped by these words, not by a vague optimism outside the passage.
